Maple Leaf Quilters Online

August 2003

Goshen, Indiana

Sylva Keenan , Editor

It’s hard to believe that summer will soon be over and school will be starting. Those who were involved with family in 4-H are probably relieved that it is over with, unless they were also going to state fair.
I haven’t heard from any of you about quilt related activities, so this month’s newsletter will be brief. For myself I have been busy with family reunions and church activities. I have managed to get in a little sewing, but not much. I prefer doing things outside, especially with the pleasant weather we have been enjoying.
Remember that we still have open positions for co-chairs of the guild. You might consider doing this so we have leadership this coming year. There are still some open spots for programs and hostesses for various meetings. Come to the meeting with ideas and an attitude to pitch in and serve where needed.

They want everyone to bring their favorite sewing and/or quilting gadget AND a white elephant gift that is sewing or quilt related. (i.e. ugly fabric, extra gadgets, patterns that you are done with, unfinished projects, etc.) Please bring it wrapped!! We will be playing dirty bingo!!
