QUILTING CLASSES AT YODER DEPARTMENT STORE

Welcome to Quilting Classes at Yoder Department Store! An exciting lineup of classes will be presented to all those who have been wanting to improve their quilting skills, learn something new and different, of for those who have always wanted to learn how to quilt, but were afraid to venture out on their own. Come spend an evening or two, or indulge yourself in a Saturday class and expand your quilting horizons!

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

Please make sure you bring your own sewing machine in good working order (for classes requiring a sewing machine), as we do not have sewing machines on the premises. (This would be the perfect time to get that tune-up and cleaning you’ve been putting off!) All fabric, patterns, books and supplies that are needed for the class you are taking will be available at Yoder Dept. Store before class starts. I ask all my students to please thank Yoder Dept. Store for graciously extending not only their space as well as their everyday discount pricing by purchasing all your fabrics, supplies, books, and patterns at Yoder’s. All classes, unless otherwise noted, will require your own book. I do not want to infringe on any hard-working quilt author’s copyright, and photocopy books, so please make sure you purchase your own copy. You will need (and want!) the book after class, to complete your project. Bring your Class Supply List to Yoder’s before the class starts and purchase your class supplies ahead of time. Give yourself enough time to pre-wash and press your fabrics (this will save valuable class time.) Please take advantage of Yoder Dept. Store’s knowledge staff to help you pick out just that perfect combination of fabrics for your class. Don’t wait until the day of class to purchase your fabrics, as we will be getting started right away, and will not have time to do fabric selections for you in the beginning of class.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES:

Each class has a minimum and maximum, so early registration is highly recommended to assure you a spot in the class. Class payment is accepted in the form of cash or a personal check made out to ‘Patricia A. Sliney’. Please note that class fees are separate from books, patterns, supplies, class kits and fabric, unless stated otherwise in the class description. Class fees are paid at time of registration, and at that time you will receive a class supply list. Phone/E-Mail registrations will be held for ONE WEEK to allow time for us to receive your payment in the mail. If we do not receive payment within that timeframe, we will open the spot up for another participant. If we cancel a class for any reason, or if the participant cancels one week before the class, you will receive a full refund of the class fee or may choose to transfer your class fee toward another class. Cancellations less than a week before the start of the class, or class no-shows will not be eligible for a refund, with exceptions made on an individual basis, at the discretion of the instructor.
